Khandaani Shafakhana’s movie review.
Khandaani Shafakhana has a unique concept of sex education. In this film, they have smartly described that we need to communicate about sex.
Films start with ‘Mamaji’ (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) running a sex clinic named ‘Khandaani Shafakhana’, in a small town Hosiyarpur of Punjab. There talking openly about sex is a crime. So he faces social boycott and protests but still he continued to run his clinic for many years. One day, mama dies and after his death. Before his death, he legally leaves this property on the name of Baby Bedi (Sonakshi Sinha).
She comes to know about this whole scenario. After that, she decides to run Khandaani Shafakhana due to her financial issues. Before that, she was working as a medical sales representative in one of the companies. Also, there was the responsibility of her mother (Nadira Babbar) and younger brother (Varun Sharma). Still, there are a lot of problems faced by Baby Bedi. There was one condition that Baby Bedi have to run this clinic for 6 months without fail, then only she can get that property. And then her journey starts.
Talking about the film, it’s very slow and too lengthy, there is some unnecessary scene which was not needed. Otherwise, the film is very nice.
Sonakshi Sinha did a fabulous job, Varun Sharma too did a good job. there was nothing new to watch about Varun. Badshah was a surprise package for his fans as it was his debut film. He just shocked the audience with his fabulous acting skills and Priyansh Jora didn’t get a chance to show his acting skills much.
Screenplay by Shilpi Dasgupta was perfectly done, it will engage the audience.
At least all should watch this film 1 time, it’s a movie that will entertain you, with good messages.
