Vikram Bhatt directed Ghost is a breath of fresh air in the horror film genre. After receiving not so great response from Bipasha Basu starrer Creature Ghost comeback punch of Vikram Bhatt which reinstates his name as the best director of horror films.

The film is set in London where a lesbians relationship as at the brink of breaking. Unable to deal with the situation and threatened by her lover to be exposed, the girl commits suicide. And her tarnished soul comes back to take revenge. From her lover and her husband. As people get connect to her story they start to the spirit attached to events.

TV actress Sanaya Irani plays the main lead. The actress traded her innocent bahu image to embrace the more bold image of the boldness of 21st-century actress by doing 3 lip lock scenes. Her spot-on expression led us into the mind of our character. She wasn’t just the acting but she was actually living it. It is the first time Sanaya is playing such a role.

However, the character of the male lead is overpowered by Sanaya’s character. Nevertheless, Shivam Bhargava doesn’t let that define him and plays the character to his best.

Noir aesthetics of the film gives it a whimsical and cynical look. The uncertainty of what exists in the dark keeps you at your feet. The cinematographer artistically cut light to frame the subject in a way that draws you in.

Overall the film is a fantastic piece of craft.
