In comparison to season one, my character has been much more sensible: Parvati Sehgal on ‘Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2’
In Rajan Shahi’s “Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2,” Parvati Sehgal reprises her role as Komal. Though she played the carefree Komal in the first season of the show, she has been more grounded and cautious with her words in the second season.
“She said,” she explained “Since Komal was rude, violent, and uneducated in season one, my character in season two is quite different. She has become sensible, kind, and loving, particularly towards Garv, after losing her husband Aadarsh and her daughter in season two. She treats him as though he were her own brother, and she is extremely close to him.”
“My character is a widow, and she has gotten all these feelings in some way because of the things that have happened to her in the last nine years,” she said.
In real life, however, Parvati is nothing like Komal. Though she shares some of Komal’s emotional characteristics in the second season, she is otherwise very different.
“I really don’t relate to her because I’m not like that in real life,” she explained. “In season two, Komal is a very emotional person, which I identify with, but otherwise, I’m a very empathetic and fun-loving person, so I’m not at all like Komal.”
When asked what kind of feedback she’s gotten for her portrayal of the role, she said, “They liked Komal a lot in the first season, according to the feedback. Because of the kind of free-spirited, innocent, and raw person she was, I believe the audience felt a stronger connection to her than they did to Komal in the second season.”
“The audience needs to see the old Komal, the misbehaving, rude, and negative Komal, returned. I’m hoping for it as well, but I do enjoy playing the very soft Komal on occasion because it allows me to play several different shades and variations while performing, which gives me a lot of joy “Parvati put her signature on the document.
