#IStandByMedia : Donal Bisht expresses her condolences to journalists who have died as a result of COVID.
By Donal Bisht, who is currently filming her Telugu debut film Dare to Sleep, took to social media to express her love for all journalists who work tirelessly to provide news to the general public. For the uninitiated, the media industry has suffered the loss of a slew of journalists in recent years, the most recent of whom was Rohit Sardhana, who died of COVID-19 yesterday, leaving behind two daughters and a wife.
Donal, who spent four years as a journalist and prime time anchor for a major network before joining the acting industry, captioned the video with the hashtag “#IStandByMedia.” During this pandemic, when we are all urged to remain at home, members of the media are out on the virus-infested streets of our world, witnessing the virus’s terrors and documenting the savagery of the virus while we sit at home in front of our TV’s.
