On the sets of Indian Idol 12, my father Kishore Ji pranked S.D Burman Ji while launching the film Prem Pujari, says Amit Kumar.
The Kishore Kumar 100 Song special episode will air this weekend on Sony Entertainment Television’s music reality show Indian Idol Season 12. Indian Idol has consistently delivered the most elegant singing sensations for the nation, leaving no stone unturned in bringing out the country’s greatest musical talents!
Amit Kumar, the legendary Kishore Kumar’s son, will grace the stage in a gambit to help this legacy and articulate singing sensations. This is a special episode dedicated to the Indian music legend. The judges, Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya, and Anu Malik, will warmly welcome the singer, and the show will be hosted by renowned singer Aditya Narayan.
The contestants’ incredible performances would undoubtedly transport everybody to the golden era of the 1990s.
Arunitta kanjial’s post-performance on the songs ‘Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi,’ ‘Shokhiyon mein ghola jaaye,’ and ‘Bheegi bheegi raaton mein’ shocked the judges, the crowd, and Amit Kumar. Arunita’s singing abilities fascinated the son of late Bollywood legend Kishore Kumar, who encouraged her to write her own songs rather than rely on the industry because she is a very talented singer.
“My father Kishore Ji pranked S.D Burman Ji while releasing the movie Prem Pujar and told him that he won’t sit in A/C cinema halls because he gets throat problems and isn’t happy thus to release this movie in cinema halls without air conditioners,” Amit Ji says of the song Shokhiyon mein ghola jaaye’ from Prem Pujari.
Amit Kumar also commented on Arunita’s success, saying, “I think your face is popular, so I’d like to sing the song Chehera Hai ya Chand Khila hai for you. In today’s world, you are a superstar’s voice, not a playback voice! You have tremendous ability. You have a voice that is unlike anybody else’s; you have a one-of-a-kind voice. Later on stage, Amit Ji and Aurnita perform a duet on the song “kya yehi pyaar hai”.
