Archanna is readily offering moral support to the families, expressing her condolences as well ,”  I would like to express by condolences to families who have lost loved ones because of this pandemic. My prayers are with you all. I would also like to tell families of all corona warriors who succumbed to the disease that your loved ones died as martyrs in this war against covid-19. They were front-liners and it is because of them that so many could sit at home safe and sound.

Elaborating her task of making these masks she made it possible,” The country wide lockdown imposed restrictions on my showroom and my workshop so I decided to make masks at home with my residence sewing machine. I used cotton fabric from new bed sheets. This was my small way of giving back to the community. I spent my mornings and afternoons stitching masks with my house help.

The idea conceptualized while she came to know about its shortage through a group,” I have been part of the ward 69 group for a while now. I saw messages on the group about how there was a shortage of masks amongst the BMC workers, policemen and police women and amongst other government workers who are putting their lives at risk for our safety. I also received calls from members of the group who asked me to help make some masks. I received police permission to open up my showroom but my masters could not make it so I decided to start making the masks at home itself. I wanted to take up this initiative because this was my way to express gratitude to these unsung heroes & to help them be safe.” She concludes
