The upcoming weekend episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol Season 12 will be a musical extravaganza, hosted by Aditya Narayan and judged by Anu Malik and lyricist Manoj Muntashir. Viewers will see the boys and girls compete with their singing abilities, with Anu Malik leading the girl’s team and Manoj Mutanshir leading the boy’s team. The judges praised contestants Ashish Kulkarni, who performed Jee Karda and Pachtaoge, and Shanmukha Priya, who sang Udi Teri Aankhon Se beautifully. “You both are absolute singers, it gives me immense pleasure to listen to the songs sung by both of you,” Anu Malik said, adding to the singing quotient.

When Aditya Narayan was asked to characterise his rival Shanmukha Priya’s success later in the show, he replied, “There is certainly no competition between me and Shanmukha Priya.” We’re like family to each other, and we’ll always be that way. Shanmukha Priya was the one who kept in contact with me and kept me motivated when I was sick. I used to update her on my rehab, eating habits, and overall success on a regular basis. She was always just a phone call away, and I consider myself fortunate to have a sister like her.”
