Cartel – Supriya Pathak as Rani Maai!

Cartel is an action-drama series. It stars Supriya Pathak, Rithvik Dhanjani, Pranati Rai Prakash, Tanuj Virwani and Divya Agarwal. The story revolves around the Angre family. Thus family is the first family of Bombay and shows the power struggle amidst Crime Lords based in different areas of city.

Talking about the roles. The female protagonist of the series is the Khichdi fame Supriya Pathak. Supriya Pathak is well known for her significant role in Ram-Leela which was remarkable and she is also known for her significant role in Khichdi. But her role in Cartel is pretty different from the others which she played. Here she is a dominant, fierce and a lot more competitive. She is portrayed as a Queen in the Jungle of Kings. She is not only the ruler of her own house but also Bombay. AltBalaji shared a glimpse of her character. Her character’s name is Rani Maai. The caption read, “Rani Maai, the mother who built the empire on power and fear.” Looking at her character we can say that people might know the Angre’s but they cannot predict Rani Maai ever. She can’t be understood totally ever. She’s the brains of the whole planning and plotting.
She’s the leader of the Angre Family and the controller of the whole Mumbai. There are four gangs in the city and the only reason they co-exist in harmony and are united is because of Rani Maai. But tragedy strikes and the Angre family gets a new leader. Who will be the new leader ? This will be answered in the series on 20th of August.
