Director Vivek Agnihotri achieved an award from the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association for the movie Tashkent Files. The movie have achieved a good sucess. The film collection is of 20 crore and it is among the top 5 profitable films of 2019.

The award presented to Vivek Agnihotri was by the four times national award winner Madhur Bhandarkar and Sriram Raghavan. When he was asked about the success of the film he said, “It is always heartening to be recognised and acknowledged by the fraternity. This film has broken all the rules, it has every element that is a big no-no in film’s rule book. Yet it ran for over 80 days. This means that if you chase your conviction, anything is possible.”
