Exclusive – “Retro look made me say yes.” – Charu Asopa

Charu Asopa is looking gorgeous in the look she is ready for her new web show Johri alongside Nishant Singh Malkhani.

When asked about her look she comments ahead saying, “Thank you so much, by the look you can say it that it is a retro look because the purpose of the shoot asks us to look from the 80s nd 90s. The look is what I like so much about my character. The retro look is what made me all excited in the project. When I heard about they mentioning about the retro look, one of the reasons I said yes!”

She chuckled when we actually expressed our excitement about the teaser they have shot for the web show, Johri which will be coming on Atrangi TV. Further said, ” This show is very interesting and amazing in itself, when you watch it you will yourself realise it. Because it is not at all unlike other shows we watch. I ain’t saying this just because it is my show. I generally mean it. But in this show I genuinely feel there are different thoughts put together. I always say this when audience get to watch something unexpected then they all go like Ooh My God. The very reason they enjoy watching the web show. This character of mine in Johri is totally different than what I have performed all these years like since 10-12 years. So I feel and assure you that you are going to get to watch a new Charu altogether.”

Later we asked what is the story exactly since you mention and highlight the retro look much. She replied saying, “Yes! so basically this is an 80s story where there will be much changes wherein the characters try and reach gradually till the present time line. basically today we have shot a scene from the past hence the retro look.”

Next we ask about the dashing co actor Nishant, what do you have to say about him and the working experience? Chuckling she expresses, “I had fun shooting with Nishant. I didn’t feel any kind of hesitation or stress while I was shooting with him. It was all smooth with him throughout the shoot. He is very easy going and happy go lucky kind of a person. He is a new friend of mine and a wonderful person. As an actor I would definitely say that he is a wonderful actor because while shooting certain scenes have come out so great that I say Ooh My God.” expressing her surprise. “Sometimes I feel there are new actors who have come in the industry are focusing on thee gym part and less on acting maybe but Nishant, he is wonderful as an actor and he is a wonderful person also.”

Which do you prefer daily soap or web show? Not at all in a dilemma ready with her answer she says,” Daily Soap has it’s own fun and knack. i would love to do daily soaps but now that I’m a mother I feel that web show is much better ass it can be shot in chunks so I feel web series is much better for me at least.”

How would you enjoy your new show? Of course yes! Ziana and me will enjoy the show with pop corn the entire show.

Lastly, a message to your fans. “All I want to say is we have worked so hard and put in all our efforts and with a lot off love we have created this project right here. So you also watch the show with all the love and let us know about your thoughts.”
