I have never done a story: Riteish Deshmukh

In an exclusive interview with Celeb Mode, Riteish Deshmukh talked about his upcoming film Baaghi3.

The reason behind doing Baaghi

“I have done Baaghi because of its story, I have done a lot of films based on two Friends but I have never done a story which is based on two brothers and that was very exciting to play. Brothers who can do anything for each other. There is a lot of brotherhood between them, one is weak and another is strong. In this film, I am a big brother and tiger is small and they have a relationship like a mother and a son, it’s quite unique in that way. He is a kind of protector, he is very much afraid but he knows his brother is there to protect him, he will take off him”.

Working in the Franchise film?

“Sajid also asked me you have never done any franchise so would you like to do it because there is lot of apprehensions actors try to do it, but I said yes when I was doing Houseful than Abhishek, Bobby, and John has also done that, so who am I, as long as the role is great and it’s a wonderful story that you would like to part of. I will be more than happy and I always as an actor would love to work with as many people as I can. From the start of my career, I have been a Bollywood fan, and when I look back I can see I have done films with Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, Vinod saheb, Jackie Shroff, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and all, and if I have to see I have worked with so many people and then again, I got a chance to work Shahrukh khan, Salman Khan, Siddharth Malhotra twice, and now someone like Tiger Shroff, Shraddha the younger generation I feel great and if I get a chance to work with any kind of talent with me like me or completely different from my side it’s fantastic, so much we get to learn from them”.

“Yes, it’s is a great story to say how a man from sarpanch (Gram Sabha) become CM (Chief Minister), Many people have written this story and send me telling do this film on him, but it’s not easy when the subject is too close to you then the objectivity is something you forget on what is right and what is wrong if I will make the film everyone will say you have just shown his good part rest you haven’t shown anything and it becomes too close to you, and if someone else will going to make this film I will say he was not like this, he never used to talk like this, and this has never happened only, and that dexterity will go on. Once I have thought about it we will try and make it but writing a book is different thing it would be 300 pages or 100 pages but films is of 2 hours and in those 2 hours you have to show that kind of thing which keeps people engage otherwise it will become boring, so not now, but if something comes up then I will look forward”.
