Rajan Shahi’s iconic show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) has been running for over a decade and is still going high. Shivangi Joshi, who plays Naira Goenka in the fiction and now Seerat, says the show has been a life-changing experience for her.
“It’s an honour to be a part of such a historic display on Indian television,” says the actor. “I’m honoured to work with some of the industry’s best actors, crew, and producers. Each day on the set has been amazing, and each and every scene is special to me,” she adds. “But if I had to pick a favourite, it would have to be Kaira (the show’s lead couple, Kartik, played by Mohsin Khan, and Naira, played by Shivangi) moments and performances in Greece and Rajasthan. For me, it was an exciting experience.”
Kaira’s fans are crucial to the success of YRKKH, and the actor wants to send them a message that says, “Millions and trillions of love and hugs to them always.” According to Shivangi, the show’s main selling point is the story itself. Thanks to Rajan Shahi sir, our mentor and producer, who understands what it takes to wow an audience. In addition, the unique plot, presentation, and outstanding performances by the actors combine to create an unforgettable experience.
When asked how she stays positive in the face of adversity, she says, “Each day is a lesson to learn, remember, and conquer, whether you’re working or on leave.” Last year, I missed a few months of work but was reunited with my entire family. I focused on myself, was preoccupied with household chores, and spent time alone. These are the strongest feelings that anyone can have. This period of unprecedented change has taught us a great deal.”
