Sonu Sood transforms into a messiah for Uday Singh’s village in Dance Deewane
3 min readEven in the darkest of times, it is said, there is still a ray of hope. Sonu Sood is one such person who has become a silver lining for everyone by going above and beyond to support people during these trying times. Sonu Sood will appear as a guest in the next episode of COLORS’ Dance Deewane, which will be themed around “Hope.” Sonu proved to be a savant in addition to praising the contestants. He helped some contestants too.
Uday Singh, a daily wagerer from a small settlement in Neemuch, was one of the contestants. He is struggling to make ends meet during the current lockdown situation. Owing to a shortage of employment and their daily earnings being affected, he and his entire basti are finding it difficult to meet their daily requirements. When Sonu sees Uday’s passion and how he plans to devote his success to the country’s migrants, he breaks down and shares his experience helping migrants and how they are suffering.
After hearing Uday’s plight, Sonu vowed to provide rations to Uday and his entire village before the lockdown was lifted and things returned to normal. “Uday, I want to assure the citizens of your village that, if the lockdown lasts one month, two months, or even six months, I will ensure that your entire village continues to receive rations,” Tell them not to worry no one can go hungry there for as long as the lockdown lasts.”
Everyone was taken aback by this thoughtful gesture.
