“This is quite a task but I’m enjoying it.” – Aman from Punyashlok Ahilyabai

Aman was earlier seen in Udaariyaan, one of the famous shows but now he will be seen in Punyashlok Ahilyabai. We finally got in touch with him and asked him about his experience about how has it been shooting. As the shows he has done before were different and now this being a very old and mytho related so we asked him about how was it to shoot and the experience throughout?

He replies,”It was kind of challenging for me after Udaariyaan. Because it is a historical show and a mythological as well, the genre is entirely different. My character is one of the leads well it purely depends on the TRP but they have informed me that it is a 9 months character.” which sounds interesting to us for now.

We also asked him what exactly challenges he had to face during the shoot, be it diction or language? he replied,”For me language was not an issue or a problem because my grandfather during my childhood because he is a very spiritual and religious person, he being so perfect in this area helped me a lot with all the mantras since my childhood as I have been adapting so hasn’t been a problem as such for me with the diction. But yes with the body language it was a bit of a task for me; now it’s like learning and going with the flow I can say. I’m enjoying the process.”

Since it is a historical show; we asked him how much is he enjoying and is it interesting for him? he said,” Yeah right! I am enjoying a lot really a lot more than that I’m learning a lot. The learning is only enjoyment for me. And I always wanted to do such type of a character.”

Since history is the part of a discussion, we asked him which of warriors is his favourite? he answered,” I would follow Shivaji Maharaj; to be honest I haven’t followed the warriors as such. But my character is more of like related and mostly belongs the Maharashtrian warriors like with relation to the peasants who followed Ahilyabai a lot and looked up to her.” Concluding he said,” The process was quite challenging but as I said I enjoyed a lot. I’m learning day by day, learning how to tackle the fighting sequences. You know what for an actor the difficult part is the fighting sequence like the action scenes because we actually we have to make it look a lot real wherein even the opposite actor doesn’t get hurt. This is quite a difficult task which I got to learn.” We finally asked him if learnt the tactic, to which he said,” No not yet because there is yet no horse riding sequence but for now I have learnt how to fight with swords; the basics. Still there is no horse riding sequence like not yet in the scenes as a requirement.”

Later we asked him, since it is the summers and historical shows have the need to wear the heavy outfits for the scenes so how difficult is it to manage both? He replied agreeing and chuckled,” A lot of tan I must say. There are days whole day where we have only outdoor shoot schedules. It is really tough, first of all it is historical show and the outfits are uncomfortable plus the action sequences. So yeah it is a very hardworking job.”

What do you have to say about your working experience? What have you learnt from your co actors? he said,” Remotely there are actors who are senior to me and have been working since many years. So yes I would say I get to learn a lot from them since the character was new to me; firstly the language is not the one we use in daily basis. They correct me whenever or wherever I go wrong. They help me a lot and they are very nice and humble.”
