On Super Dancer – Chapter 4, Hero No. 1 Govinda says, “Mera Style Mujh Se Accha Iske Pehle Kabhi Nahi dekha”

Every performance by the contestants and their super gurus was nothing short of a tribute to the legendary Bollywood jodi – Govinda and Neelam – this weekend on Super Dancer – Chapter 4. Pruthviraj and his super teacher Subhranil, who have performed admirably week after week, once again enthralled the judges as well as Govinda and Neelam. Govinda, in particular, was so taken aback by the performance that he instantly stated, “Mera Style, Mujh Se Accha, Iske Pehle Kabhi Nahi dekha.”
Govinda further added, “Mujhe aisa lagta hai, dance wohi dance hai jo bina bole dance kare.” He was short of words to express his feelings towards this spectacular performance. On the behest of the hosts and everyone present, Govinda and Neelam obliged everyone by taking to the stage and performing on Aap ke aa jaane se.
Watching this performance, Neelam was speechless. “I have never seen a composition and choreography like what you did,” she continued. It was quite creative! And, to be honest, it brought up many happy memories of Govinda.”
Anurag Basu quickly added that Subhranil is a “genius” choreographer, while Shilpa Shetty Kundra gave Pruthviraj and Subhranil a “seedhi” ovation.
“When I first heard this song, I never thought it to be such a hit number,” Neelam added, as the hosts were eager to learn more about this timeless song, the memories and nostalgia around it. This song is my career’s biggest hit. I never imagined that people would remember it, adore it, and want to dance to it even after 30 years. One of my all-time favourite songs.”
Shilpa Shetty Kundra then asked Govinda how they used to interact because when Neelam first started in the industry, she couldn’t speak Hindi. “In the early days when we were shooting, I used to go on talking to Govinda in English and he used to respond to me with ‘yes, yes, yes, Okay, Okay, no, no, no (laughs). He was simply too charming.”
