Rubina Dilaik on the 5-year anniversary of ‘Shakti,’ says, “Shakti helped improve my life in a greater and better way.”

Rubina Dilaik’s character ‘Soumya’ on Shakti -Astitva Ek Ehsaas Ki became a household name, propelling the show to new heights and extending its run to five years.

Rubina gets emotional about her attachment to Shakti and how it has been a game changer for her career and has brought out her true versatility as an actor as the programme celebrates its fifth year on broadcast.

“Shakti gave my profession a second shot, and this show completely transformed the trajectory of my career.” Shakti aided me in many ways in developing my acting skills and showcasing my versatility as an actor and performer.
People went back a good 6 -7 years to see the kind of work I had been a part of before Shakti brought me so much acclaim and glory. So, definitely, Shakti assisted me in changing my life for the better,” Rubina says.

Rubina says of her close bond with her character ‘Soumya,’ “I am tremendously close to my character Soumya.” I don’t have to act out the character because it has such a strong emotional and mental connection with me; instead, I simply portray it, and there is a significant difference between the two. Playing the character was always a natural feeling for me and came straight from my heart.”
