To see the dramatic drama unfold in COLORS’ Molkki, watch the Mahasaptah episode
5 min readMolkki, COLORS’ much-loved show, has kept viewers on their toes week after week with its interesting plotline. Virendra and his family members are celebrating Manas’ birthday when Purvi (played by Priyal Mahajan) decides to leave the house, therefore the entertainment doze is going to be greater this week. Virendra notices this and attempts to intervene. Purvi is also approached by the children, who request that she cut the cake with them. Purvi refuses to change her mind after the celebration and attempts to flee. This is when Virendra pulls her aside and informs her that she is not allowed to leave until her mol is paid.
To add to the tension, when Virendra is in Delhi, Anjali takes advantage of the situation and persuades Sakshi to get Purvi to participate in Molkki Diwas. Purvi is afterwards tied up and humiliated while clad in black.
Virendra aka Amar Upadhyay, speaking of the Mahasaptah, states
“Molkki has always been a particular show for me since it tackles a highly sensitive subject in a mature and engaging manner.” “In the current episode of the show, my character Virendra is faced with a problem in which he must strike a balance between Sakshi and Purvi. While he owes it to Sakshi, his first wife, to honour her wishes, he also owes it to Purvi to ensure that she is not treated unfairly by Sakshi. There will be a lot of drama and tension in the Mahasaptah episode as Virendra attempts to be fair to Purvi when Sakshi tries to embarrass her. This is, in some ways, a test for Virendra, who has always prided himself on being uncompromising and fair in his dealings.”
“Playing Purvi in Molkki is certainly the most exciting and powerful character that I have essayed to date,” Priyal Mahajan says of her part as Purvi. “Purvi is grown and strong, but she is also vulnerable in other ways. Her ability to manage her environment and tackle the problems that life throws at her is both realistic and encouraging. Purvi is now accepting the truth that her struggle will be long, especially now that Virendra’s first wife Sakshi has joined their life. She is at a time in her life where Virendra’s assistance is critical, and she is unsure whether or not he will provide it. The great drama that will be witnessed in this film will undoubtedly be appreciated by the spectators in Mahasaptaha”.
Molkki airs on COLORS every Monday through Friday at 10 p.m. for more information.
