On World Environment Day, June 5, Full House Media’s performers discuss the tiny steps they are taking to make the world a cleaner and greener place.

Richa Rathore (Aapki Nazron ne Samja):-
Whether tiny or large, a change is a change. Any change begins with a shift in perspective. It is critical that we recognise the environmental consequences of our consuming habits. The only way to ensure a healthy environment for all is to make efforts in this regard. I’ve begun to use environmentally friendly products and avoid using plastic. I’ve been planning to start composting kitchen garbage at home. I’m attempting to learn more about quick fashion and make more informed decisions about apparel and fashion. I also created a table out of old scrap wood, a planter out of scrap tiles, and some potlis out of scrap cloth during the lockdown. As a result, recycling is also one way by which we can create a difference.
Milloni Kapadia (Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha):-
Small changes over time add up to a large difference. A clean environment, in my opinion, keeps our minds healthy and knowledgeable. Our environment has a significant impact on our lives in ways that most people are unaware of, which is why people litter and pollute it, which I despise. When there’s a bin nearby, I always use it; if there isn’t, I keep my trash to myself and ask others to do the same. In fact, I occasionally remove their trash and keep it as well. Plastics are no longer used. In addition, I am a huge fan of greens. We have a lot of plants in our house, and watering them and watching them develop and blossom is a wonderful sensation. Our environment, I believe, is our home. I truly hope that every human being felt the same way. To live a happy and healthy life, let us keep our environment clean and fresh.

Vaidika Senjaliya (Tujhse Hai Raabta):-
Since I was a child, a healthy environment has been very important to me. My grandfather is still farming in our village, and we have a lot of mango trees, so I’ve known how vital it is to maintain a healthy environment since I was a child. Greenery provides us with a sense of well-being and renewal, which is especially important during these COVID times. I’ve also kept plants in all corners of my house since they make you feel so good and serene. And whenever we visit our village, I am overjoyed because there is so much vegetation and so little pollution. We can’t plant more trees since we don’t have enough land in metro cities like Mumbai, but we can make sure that the trees that do exist are maintained. The government’s eco-system restoration efforts should be encouraged.

Saurabh Agarwal (Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha):-
I’ve always lived a natural life, and by that I mean in harmony with nature. We are a part of nature, having been born from it, and it is our folly if we destroy what protects us. We simply cannot afford to cut down and destroy trees. We must reduce carbon emissions to the greatest extent practicable. By carbon emission, I mean the usage of social media platforms and mobile phones to the bare minimum, as well as the avoidance of single-use plastic. We must take care of our environment in order for it to take care of us. As a result, I take notice of all of these factors and incorporate them into my daily routine. It is our world, not any individual’s ego trip.

Bharat Pahuja (Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha):-
I sincerely think that modest adjustments lead to a better lifestyle, not only for myself and my family, but also for the rest of the world. My family follows the habit of separating dry and moist rubbish at home. This, in my opinion, is something that everyone should do; in fact, this modest activity can help with waste management on a wider scale, as well as contamination of land, water, and air. Small improvements are usually helpful in developing long-term changes, and I encourage everyone to contribute to making the world a cleaner place. I adore plants and believe that having them in your home is the best practise. Every now and then, I’ll plant a new one. In fact, I once had a tree growing on my balcony. You already know that these things benefit not only your personal development but also the environment. Who said you didn’t have authority?
