The real and fictional lives of Sheetal Tiwari are diametrically opposed..!

3 min read

Getting into the skin of a character is difficult for any actress, but it was especially difficult for Sheetal Tiwari because her on-screen demeanour is a complete antithesis to her real nature. Sheetal is portraying Gunjan in Colors’ family drama ‘Namak Ishq Ka,’ which deals with love conflicts in a blended family. It wasn’t a difficult assignment for her at first; she readily fit into the character, but as the show progressed, her character became more sophisticated and nuanced.

Sheetal finds the part tough, but she appreciates the opportunity to play a unique character in ‘Namak Ishq Ka.’ “My character in ‘Namak Ishq Ka’ is a simple girl who is quite headstrong, and being the youngest in the family, she has grown accustomed to having all of her requests realised and pampered,” Sheetal explains. “Gunjan is willing to go to any length to reclaim her passion for life. In truth, I am quite simple, but not quite that insane. I’ve always been loved at home, but not spoiled, and I’ve never made unreasonable demands in front of my family. This is like playing a different side of myself, but a good actor is someone who gets inside the skin of every character and gives it justice. So, playing this persona was not easy for me and I had to put in a lot of effort; it’s more like portraying the polar opposite of’real me.’ Despite the fact that my character in the show needs a more angry and defiant demeanour, I am a happy person in real life.”
